On Tuesday, June 21, Megan Wachspress won her sixth Jeopardy! competition. Some have speculated that Mayim Bialik’s game is fixed because such a play is so absurdly rare. In Berkeley, California, attorney Wachspress has just won $60,000 in her sixth tournament.

Bialik, who is 46 years old, is now the host of this prime-time show. As Ken Jennings announced he would be “away for months,” Bialik stepped in as host. The permanent host will be selected after the close of season 38 next month.

While the Final Jeopardy! had fans curious about the low score, it left them unable to say much else. It’s one of the many reasons why viewers suspect the show is fixed. Rob, a first-time player, was already plotting his strategy for the upcoming geography round. The returning champion had $8.4K in his bankroll, while the third-place finisher had $16.5K. This contestant impressed many viewers of Double Jeopardy by accurately portraying a teaching doctor.

The correct response is “Archapelego,” but no one else realised it except Wachspress. Rob lost by a razor-thin $2, while she raked in $8,601 on a $201 wager.

Someone tweeted, “God loves all of us, but MEGAN WACHSPRESS is without a doubt His favourite.” #Jeopardy”

“Gotta say Megan Wachspress is one of the luckiest #Jeopardy winners ever,” said someone else.

This user explained why: “Megan Wachspress may not be earning a lot of money on #Jeopardy during her run to qualify for the TOC, but it’s not by luck. She has a great understanding of betting strategies for the championship game, including how little risk to take and how much her opponents will bet. You’ve got some serious poker chops there.

Someone else chimed in, “Someone cursed Megan Wachspress to be a slave to this Jeopardy set many years ago. Whatever she does, she always wins.

One fan, stunned by Wachspress’s $2 victory, tweeted: “Right now, Megan Wachspress’s streak on Jeopardy is maybe even crazier than @KenJennings’ run, because it has been so impossible.” She has won Jeopardy! three times by a total of $2. It seemed illogical to combine the two. That’s really crazy to have three of them.

Another contestant remarked, “I haven’t seen such good luck on Jeopardy since the old Mr. Magoo cartoons.”

It’s the luckiest Jeopardy! winner ever?

For the duration of her stint on the iconic game show, Megan Wachspress has been nothing but lucky. This was made very evident on Friday, June 17, when it appeared that Sadie Goldberger had won the game. Wachspress was the winner, but a contentious ruling rendered her right Final Jeopardy! response moot.

On Monday, June 20, Wachspress faced off against Tory Leviton in the Final Jeopardy! tournament, and her luck continued to hold. Leviton was slightly superior to the current market leader. Both candidates answered incorrectly, but Leviton staked more of his money on Wachspress, giving him the prize and left the lawyer scratching her head.

She tweeted on Monday night that she was ashamed she couldn’t answer the Final Jeopardy! question, since it pertained to a time period she had studied in depth for her dissertation.
