The suspected shooter in the Atlanta subway is identified as Melvin Williams. According to rumours, he had a history of legal troubles but was now out on bond.
Melvin Williams, who was upset because there was too much mayonnaise on his sandwich, has been identified as the shooter. One of the female employees was killed and the other is in critical condition after being shot by him, according to reports.
Who Is Melvin Williams From Atlanta Subway Shooting?
Subway shooter Melvin Williams has been identified. He allegedly shot the employee after a disagreement over the appropriate amount of mayonnaise for his sandwich.
A worker was killed and another was injured when he opened fire on the workers. The incident reportedly took place at a Subway restaurant in Atlanta at around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday. A young woman named Brittany Macon has been killed, while another named Jada Statum was injured and is hospitalised.
According to police, the deceased female was 26 years old. A relative claims that Jada, a 24-year-old mother, was shot twice when she pushed her son behind the counter for safety. But because her young son, age 5, witnessed her injury, he too will be required to undergo “trauma counselling.”
According to the Daily Mail, the two women were hired on at the store recently and were already making waves. They shared a home and had a strong friendship. Macon felt the same way about Statum’s boy as she did about her own.
Melvin Williams Is A Suspect- Is He Arrested?
Melvin Williams was apprehended thanks to a tip from a citizen of Atlanta. Subway franchisee Willie Glenn testified that the shooter had dined at the restaurant before and had no problems with the employees.
On Monday, the Atlanta Police Department said that a 36-year-old Atlanta male was in custody. The police announced at a press conference that they had successfully apprehended the criminal.
Williams’ initial court appearance occurred on Monday, when he was denied bond. The arrest warrants contain no further details on the shooting. The document detailed the suspect’s impending charges, which included “knowingly and intentionally discharging a firearm that caused the death” of worker Brittany Macon.
Fox Atlanta reporter Eric Perry tweeted that the man shouldn’t have had access to a firearm because he was out on bond for child abuse and aggravated assault. It was revealed through other sources that he had previously been charged with these offences.
Jada Statum Shot And Injured Over Too Much Mayo
The 24-year-old mom, Jada Statum, shoved her 5-year-old boy under the table before she was shot twice by a customer who started shooting at the Subway workers because his sandwich had too much mayonnaise.
The child was there when his mother was shot. She was rushed to the hospital in a horrible situation, and as of Monday, she was still in a very severe way. But her sister has now told Yahoo News that Jada is in stable condition after surgery on Tuesday.
